The 3 Heads
The 3 Heads are an acoustic rock/pop group that focuses its collective talent on straightforward songwriting. As you will hear, or have already heard, all of the songs vary in style and range from power-pop songs to mid-tempo grooves to soulful mellow ballads. The one constant that resonates throughout both their CD and live shows is their use of vocal melodies and harmonies that always seem to carry an undeniable hook, regardless of what “style” of song it is. Also, each song’s simple structuring and lyrical rhythm possesses a unique and yet familiar sound for the listener. This quality is what makes the music both easy to initially listen to and addictive as one discovers the many different sounds of The 3 Heads. http://www.the3heads.com/ http://www.myspace.com/the3heads

Anderson (whose music style has been compared to everyone from John Mayer and Gavin Degraw, to Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson) began playing shows with his new music, performing at some of Los Angeles' prominent venues, including, The Mint, Molly Malone's, The Hotel Café, and The Knitting Factory, where he opened for Beth Hart. He was then invited and performed at MTV for the music supervisors of all the network's shows. http://www.myspace.com/aaronandersonmusic
Adjoa Skinner
“Adjoa Skinner has a pretty, lilting voice that is smooth, creamy and girlish, but she is also capable of belting her vocals with forceful, authoritative conviction...the arrangements are complex and intricate, characterized by odd time signatures and unusual chord progressions... Alyssa’s songs are melodic and rhythmic with poetic lyrics. Her voice has been compared to artists as diverse as Patsy Cline, Melissa Etheridge and Jewel. AM
AM's songs have been embraced by the most critical and influential ears in Los Angeles, garnering attention with his performance at the 2006 SXSW Music Festival (KCRW Showcase). LA Weekly named AM 2005's BEST SINGER/SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR, and tastemaker Nic Harcourt continuously plays AM's self-titled debut album on one of the most syndicated radio shows in the U.S., KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic". AM recently played live on "Morning Becomes Eclectic", which is a favorite podcast download. Anaïs Mitchell
She marries language and melody in a way that transcends mere singer-songwriter craft. Her compositions are marked by brilliantly subtle poetics. Beguiling simplicity and aching sincerity leave listeners cradled in familiarity and, at the same time, riveted by original genius. Don't be alarmed if impressions of Van Gogh's "Starry Night," Scheherazade's tales of the Thousand and One Arabian Nights, or a young Bob Dylan's most heartfelt Woody Guthrie renderings begin drifting through your consciousness. Anais Mitchell is all of these things – and more. http://www.anaismitchell.com/ http://www.myspace.com/anaismitchell
Andy Skib
What do you do when you’re not a band, but you’re not a solo artist? You give it a name. I chose, "To Have Heroes", to be that name. This is my "project". Over the past eight years of my life I’ve become friends with some incredible musicians. Some live in Tulsa, some in Austin, Nashville, and New York. Oh yeah, and one lives in American Idol. To Have Heroes is my way of beginning to see what I sound like with the help of all of these different "musically inclined" friends. Right now I’m writing and recording some new songs, and maybe hanging on to a few old ones. http://www.myspace.com/tohaveheroes
Arrica Rose
Best described as melodic indie-rock with a hint of alt-country, Arrica Rose conveys a wisdom beyond her years with timeless songs, insightful lyrics, and a "voice that has the ability to make your heart stop" (Beren Huett, Performer Magazine). She has been consistently charming audiences with her intimate, yet powerful live performance. In the words of A.J. Charron of Guitar Noise "Arrica Rose is a totally amazing artist...she does possess that particular and peculiar something that great artists possess." http://www.arricarose.com/ http://www.myspace.com/arricarose
Aubrey Ashburn
This pop-alternative singer/songwriter has a style similar to Sarah, Sheryl and Alanis, with commanding productions, an uncommonly beautiful voice, and lyrics that are insightful and penetrating... http://www.aubreyashburn.com/
Ben Jaffe
After several years of hard touring on the vaudeville circuit, The Black Tie Society - realizing that such a circuit had not existed for nearly three quarters of a century - gave up on their pipe dream of fame in the dancehalls of America and began to focus on the recording of roughly a dozen of their world weary tunes about wine, women, and...wonder. http://www.theblacktiesociety.com/ http://www.myspace.com/theblacktiesociety
Bernie Barlow
Sang on Melissa Etheridge's latest album release “Lucky”, on Bob Seger's latest album, and Joe Cockers album. Toured with the Moody Blues and just finished touring with Sarah Mclachlan. And sang the theme tune to Aaron Spelling's show “Summerland.” http://www.berniebarlow.com/
Beth Thornley
Earning a reputation as a profound songwriter in the underground pop world. Recognized for inventive melodies and intelligent lyrics, her songs keep the listener intrigued from beginning to end. Compared to Sheryl Crow, Aimee Mann and Beth Orton by writers such as Bruce Brodeen of Not Lame Recordings, Beth’s sound has been called, “pop with modern rock wrapped in a package of addicting hooks….Her music is filled with a delightful and most serious commitment to making things interesting at every turn.” http://www.beththornley.com/ http://www.myspace.com/beththornley

Bob Malone
No matter what size room, center stage is Bob Malone: giving it his all every time the spotlight shines, a Mardi Gras madman pounding the keys ’til they scream for mercy and belting out a bourbon-soaked growl (even though he's long since sworn off the hooch) that spins tales of heartbreak, humor, and world weary humanity with seemingly effortless glee. Malone makes being the hardest working man in show business look easy …better yet, he makes it look fun. With four critically acclaimed CDs, a busy touring schedule, and a dynamically up-to-date website, Malone has established an impressive international fanbase, with extensive radio airplay and solid record sales. http://www.bobmalone.com/ http://www.myspace.com/bobmalone
Brett Cain
Ask anybody who's ever been to a Brett Cain show... It's hard to miss him. Cain, late twenties, is a mammoth of a musician. Drawing on influences that range from delta blues to modern pop music, Cain commands his audience. Cain began his life as a musician as a child, performing with his parents gospel signing group. This small taste of musicianship led him to hone his vocal and guitar skills throughout his childhood. By the time he reached his teenage years he was ready to start a band.
"Watching him perform recently, someone who’d been drinking—okay, maybe it was me—swore they had a vision of Louis Armstrong waking up ravenous one day and eating Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jack Black and all the Barenaked Ladies, topping it with soufflé of Dave Matthews." OC Weekly http://www.brettcain.com http://www.myspace.com/brettcainmusic
Brian Sheil
The show must go on, and it does. Buck is soon to release his debut solo CD called "Something More" co-produced with Charlie Midnight (Joe Cocker, The Doobie Bros) and Joel Soyffer http://myspace.com/buckjohnson
busbee
busbee’s music is timeless – enduring melodies honed into maturity by a “world class”, yet intuitive musical unit. At first listen, you might feel the nostalgia of a Paul McCartney , James Taylor or an Elton John. You will probably also hear the strains of a John Mayer. Yet this album in no way feels like a copy. It has a distinctive, original attitude. Clean cut, yet ruffled. Unapologetically pop, yet bleeding with honesty. Easy on the ears, yet full of gumption. Bursting from the tension of these seeming contradictions, comes a bold, new musical impetus that feels like an old friend. http://www.busbeemusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/busbee
Caitlin Crosby
Caitlin can be seen in this years LEVI's add in every magazine....as the Levi's songwriter... Carlos Calvo
Carlos has been compared to many contemporary artists such as David Gray and Dave Matthews, but with one striking difference: his rare mastery of his instrument, the guitar. Trained in both Classical and Flamenco styles in NYC for over ten years, his elevated musicianship adds textural, ethnic, and technical elements. Complementing his guitar is a warm, strong, resonant voice that makes for a unique and powerful combination. He has opened for Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, played on the score of Fox's King of the Hill for two seasons, toured in Europe several times , and placed original songs in several major motion pictures. http://www.carloscalvo.com/
Casey Black
Casey Black was born twice: first in Nashville, and then in Los Angeles. He felt that, in order to write honestly and interestingly, he need to live honestly and interestingly. So when he was 21, he traded in his comfortable life in Nashville for an inspiring, if poor, life in Los Angeles. His lyrics are honest and striking; his vocals subtle and natural. http://www.caseyblack.net

Circe Link
Melodic, lyrical, nostalgic and wholly original, singer-songwriter Circe Link's music is an artful blend of styles that pays tender tribute to its roots while boldly carving new territory. A voice of pure feminine charm leaves red, red lipstick on your collar.
Circe's siren song beckons -- an irresistible recipe served up with a shot of Patti Page, a dash of Sara Vaughn, a side of Patsy Cline, and a pinch of Alison Kraus's, Nora Jones and Fiona Apple. http://www.circelink.com/ http://www.myspace.com/circelink
Civil Twilight
This 3-piece rock group, originally from South Africa and currently residing in Los Angeles, started in 1996 on the very week that each member first picked up his respective instrument. By learning and growing together, Civil Twilight achieved a measure of single-minded musicianship that few bands today can claim. They're young, fresh, original, and boast an incredible amount of live energy, chemistry, and spontaneity. http://civiltwilightband.com/ http://www.myspace.com/civiltwilightband

Someone new and unique with lyrics that are easy to relate to and catchy. At age 7 Codi was participating in recitals and learning her first Bach minuet. From movie cowboy music (Tumbling Tumbleweeds, Ghost Riders in the Sky, Cool Water) to catchy new originals and burning bluegrass inspired instrumentals, the Riders put on a snappy show. http://www.ridersofthepurplesage.com/
Cooper Thomson
"Thomson comes from a school of writing that exists half a block up from Springsteen, just down and around the corner from Waits, a place where what you say can be just as important as how you say it. This time there's a Beatlesque feel, like Lennon on one shoulder, McCartney on the other, and a whole lot of singing from the fellow in between.

Damon Cooper
A style of soul music the likes of which have never been heard before. A musical gumbo with generous helpings of soul, gospel, blues, country and R&B combined with a breathtakingly magnificent voice that intertwines with his own melodic guitar strokes.
Damon Cooper's debut EP, "They Call Me Coop", is the "musical story" of this journey in song. From gospel, country, to rhythm and blues and soul, "They Call Me Coop" is as diverse as Damon's rich and eclectic life experiences. The humble beginnings of a soon to be storied legacy. http://www.damoncooper.com http://www.myspace.com/damoncooper

His solo performances tie together a strong dose of gritty Delta-blues, eclectic modern rock, African & American roots and a taste of 60's R&B. Dead Rock West
With a name like Dead Rock West, you’d be correct in assuming there are occasional country and folk influences, but really that’s just touching on the bands capabilities. Dashes of garage, power pop jangle, and rock ‘n’ roll populate the set list, played with passion to match the songcraft. The secret weapon here? It’s the vocal harmonies. Don’t misunderstand. This is one tight band all around. But Wasserman and Drennen’s voices are a seamless blend that add melody to already impressive hooks. Icing on an already pretty tasty cake. http://www.deadrockwest.com/ http://www.myspace.com/deadrockwest

Echo Division
As the two began to write, Duncan was still busy with his band Kepano Green (Rhythm House Records), as well as touring stints in both the U.S. and Europe with Sense Field (Nettwerk America) and Mercy Street (RCA). Miles had just wrapped up a successful run with For Love Not Lisa (Atlantic), and was touring and recording with Puller (Tooth & Nail). Still, though, Duncan and Miles wanted a new creative outlet, a way to combine their love for classic and modern alternative rock. So they started writing together, working under the name The Echo Division . And the songs started coming. . .
With the addition of Tim Worman (drums) and Andrew Egger (bass), the music began to take shape. Suddenly, the band was much more than a side project. Long nights in the rehearsal room, on stage, and in the studio yielded an album - Under California Stars debuting on CD Baby's Top 100. It's 12 tracks of windows-down rock and roll from the heart and for the heart. It's the sound of four lives intersecting. It's The Echo Division. http://www.interleaguerecords.com/echodivision.html http://www.myspace.com/echodivision
